There are four powertrains available on the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. Those powertrains include:
An eight-speed automatic transmission is available on the turbo-four, while a 10-speed automatic transmission is available on the V8s and turbodiesel. The Sierra 1500 also comes standard with rear-wheel drive; front-wheel drive is optional.
A Regular Cab Standard Box model is on the Sierra 15000 Pro and has several exterior, safety, technology, and interior features.
The standard safety and driver-assistance feature includes lane-keep assist, Teen Driver, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, rear-seat alert, rearview camera, and pedestrian detection.
The exterior is equipped with standard features like rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive is optional.
The technology has features like wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ and a 7-inch touchscreen.
Features like a six-speaker stereo and cloth upholstery are standard for the interior.
A Double Cab Standard Box model is on the Sierra 1500 SLE and has all the same features as the Pro with the addition of safety and driver-assistance features like rear-seat alert.
The interior gains a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a household-style power outlet, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control.
The technology features welcome a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone integration, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, two USB ports, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and satellite radio.
The exterior adds a MultiPro tailgate, hitch guidance, and rear-wheel drive.
A Double Cab Standard Box is on the Sierra 1500 Elevation. The Elevation has gained interior features like console-mounted safe and front bucket seats, while the technology features add wireless device charging and a seven-speaker Bose stereo.
The Sierra 1500 SLT comes standard with rear-wheel drive, and adds technology features like an auto-dimming rearview mirror, driver’s seat memory settings, and a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.
The SLT can add available features like a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, a sunroof, and heated rear seats.
The luxury-oriented Crew Cab Short Box variant is on the Sierra 1500 Denali.
The interior gains ventilated front seats, while the technology adds a universal garage door opener, a bed-view camera, wireless device charging, and a seven-speaker Bose stereo.
A Crew Cab Short Box Model is on the off-road focused Sierra 1500 AT4, and it is equipped with four-wheel drive.
The AT4 also boasts performance features like a 2-inch lift, a heavy-duty air filter, upgraded suspension, skid plates, a two-speed transfer case, and hill descent control.
The Crew Cab Short Box Model and four-wheel drive are on the Sierra 1500 AT4X. The AT4X shares many of the same features as the Denali along with the addition of performance features like specialized off-road dampers, locking front and rear differentials, all-terrain tires, enhanced suspension, two-speed transfer case, 2-inch lift kit, and skid plates.
The exterior and interior are equipped with unique styling, while the technology features to gain an upgraded 12-speaker Bose stereo.
The Sierra 1500 has nearly all of the Sierra’s available features, which also includes the Super Cruise highway driver-assist system.
