The 2023 GMC Acadia has two powertrain options available, including the base engine which is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The available engine is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and come standard with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is available. Both engines offer plenty of power, no matter if you’re just running around town or merging onto the highway. You’ll also be impressed by the handling of the SUV’s size and above-average gas mileage.
The 2023 Toyota 4Runner only offers one engine which is the 4.0-liter V6 engine with 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, which is combined with a five-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard for this SUV and four-wheel drive is available. The 4Runner also gets below-average fuel economy.
The Acadia is a three-row SUV that can seat between six to seven people depending on its seat configuration. A sliding second row and cloth upholstery are standard on the Acadia. The Acadia offers an adequate amount of cargo space with the maximum amount of space with both the second and third rows folded is 79 cubic feet. Behind the second row, you’ll find 41.7 cubic feet of space, and behind the third row, there are 12.8 cubic feet. The cargo area is also wide and flat which makes loading and unloading items easier.
The 4Runner also has good cargo space available for groceries and luggage; however, in the third-row models, you’ll only find 9 cubic feet of space behind the rearmost seats.
